The Women in DSO Clinical Leadership Award Winner 2024: Tiffany Howerton
Tiffany Howerton serves on the Hygiene Leadership team as a Senior Hygiene Mentor
of Operations where she partners with Vice Presidents of Operation, Regional Directors
and Regional Hygiene Mentors of Operation to support doctors, hygienists, team
members, and profitability of practices while feeding her passion to grow others.
Tiffany’s values are centered on growing and giving back to others. By the time she
entered high school, she was certain about the direction her career would take. After
graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of
Oklahoma in 2006, she joined a practice that was part of a mid-size DSO that later
affiliated with Heartland Dental in 2013.
Being awarded the 2024 Women in DSO Clinical Operations Leadership award, serving
on Heartland Dental’s Employee Led Communities committee, OraPharma’s national
sales meeting leadership panel, Heartland Dental's Winter Conference Women in
Dentistry panel, the Women in DSO exChange Circle panel, and being featured as a
professional hygiene leader at Bloom RDH, a coaching and empowerment group
focusing on the growth of newly graduated hygienists, are included among Tiffany’s
accomplishments. Additionally, she was named Reader’s Choice Best Dental Hygienist
from 2011-2015.
Tiffany believes the Dental Hygiene profession provides opportunities to showcase
skillsets while empowering others. It also affords the opportunity to expand one’s scope
outside of the clinical arena, effecting patient care at an even higher level. She looks
forward to what the future brings to the Dental Hygiene profession as the science,
technology, and business of dentistry continue to evolve.
Tiffany lives in Enid, Oklahoma with her husband, Jared and two children, Huxley-8 and
Lennon-5.
